2003 dental implant conference focuses implant team on efficient patient-oriented treatment through implant restorations
Returning to a focus on the team approach, the 2003 AAOMS Dental Implant Conference will address the role of each team member in optimum patient treatment through implant restorations.
The conference convenes December 5 and 6, 2003 in Chicago, IL, and features major sessions on immediate loading of dental implants, and surgical techniques to augment the implant site. Friday afternoon is devoted to 7 breakout sessions on the topic of early loading or early provisionalization, or immediate loading of dental implants. Each session will demonstrate the system of a specific implant manufacturer as it relates to these topic areas.
Oral and maxillofacial surgeons and their implant assistants, general dentists, prosthodontists, periodontists, and all members of the restorative team are encouraged to attend. For further information on the conference, visit the AAOMS website at www.aaoms.org, or call 800/822-6637.
Get your hands on the latest hard and soft tissue surgical techniques
The conference will be preceded on December 4 by concurrent hands-on courses for AAOMS members on both intraoral soft and hard tissue techniques. The soft tissue course will include morning presentations on “Preserving and Restoring Soft Tissue Around Implants” and “Matching Aesthetics of Implants with Adjacent Natural Teeth.” The afternoon will be devoted to demonstrations and hands-on practice.
The hard tissue course will include a morning presentation on “Improving Osseous Contours in Preparation for Implant Placement” followed by a hands-on session; the afternoon will include presentations on “Techniques for Autogenous Bone Harvest for Outpatient Surgery” and “Alveolar Ridge Augmentation by Distraction Osteogenesis,” each followed by a hands-on session.
For more information on the hands-on courses, call AAOMS at 800/822-6637 or visit our website at www.aaoms.org.
